As part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARP) of 2021, Scituate Public Schools has qualified for grant funds administered through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. Through this one-time grant process, the district will receive $609,334 in ESSER III funding. Please know that these are one-time funds ESSER III grant awards are available for use until 9/30/2024 (Year 4).

Scituate Public Schools is seeking public comment concerning the allocation of these funds. The district has multiple areas of need and appreciates your input in the decision-making process to ensure that funds are expended in a way that will positively impact the education of all students within Scituate Public Schools. Please take a few minutes to provide feedback in our planning process, as we value your input.

We invite all families, staff, community members, students, and local residents to complete the survey at this link. Please note this survey will close at 5:00pm on Thursday, October 7th.

The curriculum acceleration committee also needs your help as we work to gather information about the current instructional practices & curriculum experiences in our schools, we recognize that families are a critical piece of the process. One of the SPS district goals for this year is to cultivate a culture of excellence surrounding teaching and learning. To support this goal, we ask that families please take a moment to share their thoughts and experiences through our family survey. This survey is anonymous, so please provide honest and detailed feedback. Students and staff members will receive separate similar surveys to ensure that we have their feedback as well. This survey will also close on October 7th at 5pm.
