Dear Jenkins School Community,

It is with tremendous excitement that I write you this letter of introduction. Over the past month, I have had the opportunity to meet students, staff, community members, and the Scituate Public Schools administrative team. As a committed educator, my primary objective is to serve our students, and it has become apparent that the Jenkins Elementary School community shares that goal. I believe in high expectations for all and will work with all stakeholders to ensure that our students have a positive and supportive environment as well as the challenges they deserve.

My professional background includes classroom teaching experience in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. I have been an academy director, curriculum coordinator, national science trainer, math coach, and assistant principal. With this professional history, I bring passion to my role as the principal of Jenkins Elementary School and the ideal that school goals must be approached with a sense of urgency in order to foster a cohesive culture of learning. Partnerships between home and school are essential for student success; it is through frequent communication and collaboration that we will continue to expand the Jenkins School's dedication to excellence.

September is approaching, but we still have plenty of summer left! Encourage your children to get outside to take advantage of the great weather. At the same time, help ensure your child's success by nurturing a love of learning. Ask them what their hopes and dreams are for the coming school year, and make reading part of their daily routine.
