The goal of Scituate Public Schools Health Services is to maintain and advance student health, including physical and emotional wellbeing, to support academic success and promote lifelong wellness. Health Services are supported by a professional, credentialed and highly qualified nursing staff. The program provides a comprehensive scope of service that includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Health screenings (vision, hearing, growth, and scoliosis)
  • Illness assessment and referral
  • Communicable disease tracking and reporting
  • Injury treatment and first aid
  • Injury and illness re-entry management
  • Maintains confidential medical record
  • Medication administration (delivery, policy, and protocols)
  • Promotes safe environment for students with health concerns
  • Develops Individual Health Care Plans / Medical 504’s
  • Collaborate with Special Education
  • Crisis team member
  • Education team member
  • Promotes environmental safety
  • Staff education
  • Individual staff health and wellness
