Jenkins health and wellness programs are supported by Scituate’s School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) which serves to bridge the gap between health and academics. The growing health concerns of our families are proportional to the increase of student health issues including topics such as healthy nutrition, food allergies, drug, alcohol, and tobacco use and bullying and harassment. The committee examines and evaluates existing programming, delivery systems and policy and to make recommendations based on sound data and oversees the Coordinated School Health Model. This Model includes Jenkins administration & wellness educators, community pediatricians, Directors of food & transportation services, school nurse, and last, but definitely not least PARENTS.

The links to the right give an overview of the health and wellness programs here at Jenkins as well as contacts and parent resources.
