Scituate Public Schools
Professional Development
Through its professional development program, the Scituate Public Schools
seeks to provide educators in the district with high quality professional
learning experiences. A districtwide professional development committee,
consisting of teachers, parent representatives and various administrators,
meets every month to plan the two teacher workshop days held in the
fall and winter each year.
Check this website for photos of professional development
days, schedules, and other updates. We are grateful to the Scituate
Education Alliance for the extensive support they provide for professional
development in the district. Visit their informative website at:
http://www.scituate-sea.org/ to see how you can become involved
in professional development in our schools. Another good resource on
the World Wide Web for professional development is the National Staff
Development Council (NSDC). Visit their website at: http://www.nsdc.org/.
NSDC is the leading national association for professional development
in schools.
